Files containing correspondence and hearing transcripts dealing with the consolidation of smaller towns and larger municipalities. Correspondence is primarily from constituents voicing their opinion. The transcripts are from public hearings at which constituents and local officials could voice their concerns on the consolidation plans.

The Division was established within the Dept. of Local Affairs and Development (see WIHV86-A1748) when the new department was created in 1967.
